Hi i'm new here, im trying to turn my racing career from 2 wheels into something on four wheels. I'll have alot of question to asker about that. Take a look at this video from last weekend. I got my Drakart with the 583 roatax in it out to my buds sand MX track to see what it would do. Idk the vid loooked good on my computer but seems to be poor quality on youtube.
I'd love to race this thing....where or what direction should I go? Anything out there... I would love to be able to work my way into baja racing...like everybody I know.... but Ive had some experience in the dirt... THANKS MITCH |

As soon as you let off that throttle a touch the front end will dive on ya... If you don't want to launch it roll up slow than commit hard, don't let off till you can see the ground about 5" from the tires... Took me a while to stay commited 100%, Car looks and sounds good tho...

There are pockets of racing around. California sounds like the best place, because you can run in baja like conditions on a smaller scale. MI, OH,PA have all had races for your class, as well. Racing in most locations is down, although new racers can pick things up.
![]() I know what you mean about the video quality going to Youtube. There are things you can do to help that, though. Encoding to certain formats, uploading a high def version, etc. You look very comfortable in there, that much comes through!

This was the first time i have actually driven this drakart or anything on something other then flat ground at my parents farmstead.
I used to race motocross but got hurt and broke my back. I still love it so instead of 2 wheels im riding 4. So i know all about commitmet and confidence, thats what motocross is all about. i deliberately had the front end low so i could land front wheels first and place them on the down side of the table and the double halfway on one table. i had NO IDEA how blind you are while jumping, its ALL by feel, you cant spot your landing when you leave the ground..unless i cut my floor out! Im not used to not being able to see EXACTLY where im placing my front tire(s) in the air.I had only ridden around that track about 5 min, took a break to make sure things were tight and only rode another 15 min because of rain. Racing out in California deff sounds the best. But im stuck in KS for the time being, i'd love to be able to make it to some races to prove myself. Im 22yrs old, been paralyzed for 7 years and was at the top of my game in the MX world when I broke my back. And I love the camera, Im thinking i could get alot of publicity for companies. An average man places 5th or a paralyzed ex racer guy places 5th, whos more of a story? It all depends..I'm just saying...if I wanted my company to be seen, with me everybody would see it. |

Yea i was down there the weekend of the 17th. I didnt get to ride much due to breaking. The group I was with all had trucks and 1000hp buggies... So I was probly easy to spot the little bit I was out there. I saw a few sweet mini buggies out there that weekend.

The picture is from this past weekend. The woman taking the photos said she did not catch some that were higher. Unbolt your shock, cycle your suspension and make sure the splines are not bottoming out through the travel. I can't see your video so I can't tell the generation car. If you have the large slip splines in the drive shaft, make sure they only have a light coating of grease. If there is too much grease in them, they bind and side load the CVs. |
