The 2009 Mace II Mini Formula Indy Car Weight: 567lbs in full fuel & race trim Engine: 2005 Yamaha YZF R1 1000cc- Fully Fuel Injected and computer Controlled Fuel gauge, Speedometer, Intake air temp, engine temp, shift light, stopwatch, mileage, clock Full Engine System Monitoring with default run codes & notifications. Runs on Pump Gas USB laptop compatible data logger & tunablity (with addition of Power Commander) Horsepower: 180@ crank with a 10% increase over 130mph- Ram Air Transmission: Six Speed Electronic Sequential (Push buttons Not shown) Clutch used for starting and stopping only. Exhaust: Titanium 4 into 1 header, split into 2 Titanium Cans, Servo controlled for low end bursts Wheels: Aluminum 13" Rims, 5 lug, Balanced with Goodyear Slicks Suspension: None- Offset & Rigid for smooth fast surfaces. Low car counts over the past few years have opened up the classes across the country. I think it is very cool. Portland International Raceway is 5 miles from my house. Don't know if this class runs there but it should.
Question: the left A-arm appears shorter than the right. Is that correct and if so, why? Last edited by Gene; 05-09-2009 at 01:09 AM. |

Yes, it's offset in both the front and rear, for banked ovals. It's built to turn left, but it runs road course just as well. You just balance out the bias, re set the camber and use the same size rear tires, she's good to go. It's down right scary fast. |
