Default Yamaha Phazer E-start 485cc fan cooled 56+hp engine package

I havn't pulled this engine yet but it will clean up to be just as nice or nicer than some of the others I have sold so if you want to hear it run call me soon (262-767-9023).

*This is a 1987 model Yamaha Phazer 485cc, 2 stroke, axial fan cooled, reed valve twin with 2337 original miles on it. It has racked Mikuni butterfly twin carbs, oil injection, CDI ignition and electric start. These engines were based in design of Yamaha's old SS433 engine that was last used in 1981. The 433 was indestructable and the 485 was no different. They were probably one of the toughest fan cooled 2 strokes ever built by anyone. These were built from 1984 - 2001 and were discontinued when Yamaha quit building entry level sleds. All parts are still available from Yamaha and many other aftermarket suppliers. They were what was called a "piped" 56hp engine and were intentionally detuned to 56hp with the pipe to compete in a factory stock cross country racing class. Just the addition of an aftermarket pipe puts them right around 70 hp If I had to pick a fan cooled 2 stroke engine for anything this would be my choice. These will run circles around any 503 Rotax and will give many 500cc liquids a good look at a Yamaha tail light. They are VERY quick and fuel stingy at the same time with bullet proof reliability.

*My son has put about 20 miles on it ripping around our 12 acers here in the last few days and it runs PERFECT. It comps at 125+ psi per cylinder which is right where they should be.

*These engines don't sell cheap and I usually do better parting them out. I will sell this one as a complete engine package for $850 + shipping. You would get all of the following. Complete engine with entire fuel, electrical, exhaust, intake and oil injection systems, complete CVT system and final drive assembly, tach and speedo. *

*If you have any interest or questions give me a call. I will be pulling and prepping this engine on Monday the 11th at the lastest.

* *Thanks, Phil (opsled)

* Mess all you want. If it puts it TTT who cares (not me). I've been told that I have a sick sence of humor (by people who arn't funny) and I don't like things that are gross so I'm not sure what they mean by "sick". I do like the hidden inuendo, sarcasim, parroties and a good poke in the ribs especially when the one doing the poking can take a good poke himself. So mess all you want, (I can take it with a smile) just make it funny.

*PS I did read the post vs F/S thread and didn't interject as I'm not sure if I'm on that list but if I am anyone can feel free to call me on it as I am thick skinned and not easily offended.

*Personally I think there is nothing better than a good set of ruffled feathers especially if the feather wearer has a smile on his face.

*OH, and resistance is one of my greatest downfalls so I understand completely.

There was no list but IF we implement some system then we will know IF you would be on it. Glad to see you didn't mind the pile we left in your post.
