WTB Gearbox ASAP
I'm in need of a gearbox from a smaller ATV (250-400cc), the input and output shaft should be paralell. *I would prefer to have high, low, and reverse gearing but other options will be considered. *We can probably deal with light case damage (ie hole rubbed in the case from the chain) if it doesnt interfere with mounting stability and can be filled in with JB Weld or similar. *I need this for out school's SAE Baja car, a small buggy with a 10HP Briggs engine. *We thought we had a deal worked out but it fell through; our team is kinda freaking out that we don't have a gearbox, we need it ASAP to get our car together in time for the competition.

How much are you looking to spend? *You can get a brand new Polaris gearbox through their sponsorship program at a very reasonable price that would probably suit your needs perfectly.

Doh, I just looked at the Polaris site and realized they are not offering gearboxes for sale this year. *I guess used is your only option.

Right we were originally planning to purchase a new unit from polaris for the discounted price, but they aren't selling gearboxes anymore. *I want to stay under $300, which greatly narrows our options.

Its from an FL350. Great shape, no grinds etc. Even has the reverse sensor still on it. From my failed FL583 Conversion. I gave the frame to jay, and I still have most of the guts.

Yrs of testing is not accomplished by owning something for yrs, You have to run it more than 20 laps 10 times a yr at the local 1/2 mile track. Sitting in the garage does not qualify as testing. |
