Gene what did you mean, were you saying put in a Jack shaft? It will work as it is if he gets the sprockets in line won,t it. not sure about the shafts sliding in the bearings, what kind of cv is it a plungeing or non plunging?

it is not sliding from bearing, it slides from joint (its BMW car joint)

see? it sliding from the joint, and the bearing allow the joint move higher

I see, the bearing at the end is a self aligning bearing, thats what I could not understand.

It is not ideal but not horrible. Similar to very early VW bug with swingaxle.

Can you post a drawing of how you plan to connect the chain to drive the axle?

i get some stock exhaust pipes, and it runs MUCH better than car exhaust
