No, not done as this is a design 3 people are imputing on it's taking 3 times as long to get everyone to agree on one design... Seriously it actually really is.

455bird that little buggy is awesome! Nicely done.

As for this little project it will take some time like my brothers 9 car as it is up to him to
pay for all the parts I am just building it all for him.
Yes I am actually doing A-arms.. I know shocker.
And a different design then everyone of my cars.. shocker again.

My car does not really have dead tubes. The bottom ones will tie into the torsion housing and
then back up into the mid rails motor cage.

The mid rail behind the seat that ends gets a piece of tube cut and 45'd onto the mid rail
motor cage that is inset so in looking at it yes you can see the tube ending it's stress and function
does not as it runs into the motor cage bars with a 45'd bar later down the road I will post and show
you so you can see.

It is looking to be mid engine rear drive with just over a 6 foot wheel base and just under 8 feet total length as I said we want to be able to put it into the bed of a truck or sideways on a trailer.

Thanks as always for input and help if you have any that would be great as I am total newbie when it comes to motorcycle stuff.
When it comes to putting a motorcycle motor and drive system together I am
a first time builder so we will see how this goes.

The motor? We are checking salvage yards in our area because we are looking for a Polaris or a Honda with no clutch.
We want the Honda 250 for them with no clutch so they can shift it but not worry about a clutch.
So that's are motor size for this project. Other ideas are already forming from this build.
Like a single seat adult version, two seat adult version that are longer for adults to fit in.
Plus when 3 guys are in a garage tons of other ideas and not enough money usually comes out.
So we will see.

Thanks again everyone more pics soon.

You would probably want a larger motor than a 250 if it is trying to push the buggy with 2 kids over anything other than dirt.

Ok I made up a back cage that is just now set up for the tranny mounts and at the front
I will set up for the motor when I get one. Not sure if that makes since or not?
Also more to do on the back end when the torsion housing gets put in then the up ward diagonal bars from it will go up and meet the bottom of the engine cage etc. So more still to do.
May change or do more to the back cage also. Not sure yet.
Anyways everything is just tac welded until my Brother and John take a look and give input etc. we
may make changes.

Car is 7ft. 9 inches total bumper to bumper outsides. So will fit in an 8 foot trailer etc.
Also the wheel base is just at 6 foot so you can load it into a truck.
The width to the hubs not counting tires is 48 inches wide. Also so you can load into a truck.

How about some pics.
Side shot showing all the webbing and side bars for the driver side are all done.
Need to just copy and install all of the passanger sides next. Roof, back and front are also done.

front shot

corner shot goofing around with the ideas for width and suspension

back cage etc.

front end so far.

Ok thanks for looking more to come soon. Input and feedback plus ideas is totally welcome.

Damn Tut that is looking better then I thought,I agree I wish you were my neighbor also, lol.I agree that you might need a bigger engine, nothing worse then taking the kids out in the dunes and then they can't make it up any of them.I had some chinese quads that couldn't climb out of anything and then I bought some E-Ton quads and what a difference.Don't need a unsafe haul butt motor but maybe something inbetween or at least an easy upgrade engine mount,etc...What is the price going to be(round about)????

Thanks for the input and feedback.
The Little buggy so far will be mostly for my Niece and Nephew Mikel and Marrisa.
They both currently have 90cc quads. They are 5 and 7.
So this will be a big jump for them going from a 90cc to a 250 buggy.
There quads shift but no clutch so they know how to do that. This will be for around camp and
maybe going to Olds or Comp. So far as they get older we are working on ideas on the car
to be able to make it upgradeable to larger shocks, better CV's, bigger paddles and motor.

Do you guys know of a larger motor that uses no clutch?
And has a reverse built into the motor? The Honda and Polaris are the only ones my brother and I can think of right now.

Price?
I can get a much better price once my brother and I actually start buying all the parts.
It will depend on what you want. Stock for the kids 2 seater aluminum body with hood, roof, seats, window nets, simple quad wheels, shocks, tires etc. and about 12 inches of wheel travel all 4 corners I am guessing it will cost 4 to 5 thousand is a guess right now.

Long travel with better shocks, better rims and tires, more wheel travel, better CV's etc. and maybe you put in your own motor around 5 thousand to shoot 7 it's all up to how much you want to spend and build for your kids or heck for your self.

Thanks for the kind words and the input on how it's coming along so far.
One thing I really like is having some nice long awesome A-arms like these for some nice long travel later on. Not to mention they look great being nice and big like that.
20 inch a arms really stand out and look "buggy" to me.

Thanks and input always welcome.

You could always throw a rekluse clutch in one to make it semi auto.
