Here you go. Not completely done, but close. I held off on putting the motor back on because I am picking up a new drive belt and battery this afternoon. I am scrambling at work today to come up with a winch mount on my lunch break, as well as drill the holes for the wheel studs in the spacers.
Gotta be done tomorrow! |

"You get what you pay for" is a phrase that comes to mind after a weekend in the $500 modified golf cart. I did have a good time cruising around the trails, but it left a lot to be desired. Like:
Reverse A turning radius under 30' More than 3" of rear suspension travel Steering locks to keep the front tires from turning so far they get stuck Softer seats, that won't leave bruises New motor, (air filter fell off, and 10 lbs. of dirt got sucked in) So instead of spending any more time or money on it, it's back to working on the Shotgun. My brother got some in car vid and a couple pics so I will try to get something up to show you guys how totally awesome it was. |

And I had fun doing it. Not to mention there may be some value in lessons learned. I certainly have a lot more to learn, and speaking of that, on this 2-stroke, how can I tell if the oil injection is working properly. This may not be related but, I pulled the plugs at one point this weekend, and there was a fine layer of crusty-ness coating the electrodes. I'm no expert but it didn't seem to be a good thing.
Thanks for the input. |

Is it water cooled, I have seen them seep a bit and the water does that on the electrode, also certain types of oil will make them look like that too when its run a little rich.

No, it is air cooled. And it is actually a 377, not a 440 like I was told.
So that goes back to adjusting the oil. How do I know if it is running too rich or lean? And how do I make adjustments? Should I change the oil I am using? The oil tank was full when I got it, so I just ran that. Does that stuff go bad like gas? So many questions..... |

Alright you got her done!
Awesome! ![]() ![]() And had fun with it! An now you know what you want to fix and improve and will improve on with the next go round. But atleast you did it, had fun doing it and had fun with it. Awesome. You can't ask for more than that. And of course with more time and work you can improve all those areas you talked about so no worries. Well done and now get started on the new one! Or atleast the improved version. ![]() ![]() |
