fl250driver,
you will never guess but I did get a sponsor from over there!
Fluid, its a Vitamin drink. Its not an energy drink but its for fatigue and is full of
vitamins, electrolytes, etc. to help me when I am racing instead of just water.
So I get the drinks cheap and some shirts and decals from them for the car.

Well maybe one day I will find a cash sponsor to pay my entry fees etc.
But cool one step at a time, right?

Quick update.
Here are a couple quick pics from my camera phone.
Wheels and tires, window nets, body done.

And rear shock, heavy swing plate etc. all done.

Motor and tranny are in.
Just need a starter and it should arrive by the end of the week.
Exhaust and all fuel lines etc are done.
Suspension is super close.
Need a ton of little things but we may just hold a battery in our laps
just to drive it around the block this weekend.

i knew you could do it!
one step at a time is exactly right.
and the more sponsor decals you get on your car the more experienced and professional it looks which makes big companies look at you.
and nice camera phone!
the car looks great!
i am working on getting a 750cc buggy but it needs work and the engine is mounted way high up by the top of the cage! so idk if im going to get it cus i dont like rolling over ha.

Ya I hear that. Move that sucker down. Keep us posted if you get it.
And I hear ya on the sponsors. Very true. Thanks again.

We set up the entire suspension and had everything on.
Then we sat in it and pushed up and down on the back
it sagged a little to much. We only had maybe 10 inches of
ground clearance. Dang.
I have to take everything back apart today and crank up
the torsions more. Mike and I were afraid of going to stiff
at first and so I did not go enough. I will go another click
on the torsion and that should do it.
To bad I have to take all the rear suspension etc apart
just to do that. Its an easy half day job.
Oh well we learned and now we know.
Ya not ready for driving until this weekend.
Couple small things we still need to do. Gear oil in the
tranny, battery and at least some form of wiring.

Mike and John sat inside to figure out how they wanted the inside
stuff like tool kits, fire ext. etc. set up.
Here are a couple camera phone pics of them checking out how much air the air
breathers put out.

Have you had a chance to test the car?

I am so sorry I did but did not take any pics.
As this project is now a running car I started a new post in the show off section as I have
now driven and tested it.

You can read about it here.
Budget Race Car Now with Girl Pics!

My wife Pepper ran the new girls around a couple laps until I felt we could do no more damage
for one day.

I am currently fixing and or improving what I can for them this week.
Once we move past the powder puff race the car will probably come back apart a little ways
and we will make some changes like I had said earlier like making up the entire steering system
new with a rack, tie rods and heims.
Pull the transmission and have tranny work done.
well anything else we need or see and then my brother and his friend John will run it and test it
at the Toys for Tots race. We will make any changes they want and then January they start racing
next years season.

Awesome... can't wait to see how they do and how they like it.

Wow 3 brothers in 3 cars out on the same track... sheesh...
Well I am retiring and my wife is taking over so it will be 2 brothers and my wife really.

Its more of a hostile take over really with my wife driving...

But someone is going to have to work on all 3 cars so I guess as I built them I am
the chosen worker. Oh well my wife is awesome and fast!
