Default MINNY SKID [smilie=cool.gif]

I have this dilemma... My arms /hands are shot as many of you know...The 2nd of January I blew my back up... I got 2 discs out... and been face down ever since...Going to the doc/chiropractor 5-6 days a week...I still gotta feed the boiler...move snow...and keep building... so I have this wacky idea fo a really small skidsteer... but I'm no hydraulic guru...Here's som pix of my donor skidder...my days of hobby logging and sawyering are over... so the skidder will be some donor parts and the rest will get sold off for parts and scrap..
Now back to the minni skid...I'm thinking 36 wide max so I can fit thru a 40 wide door way...Center boom with a bobcat style quick-tatch system for a grapple/bucket/snow bucket/ and maybe a post-hole digger...
I was thinking of using Hydrostatic lawnmower diff and brake turning it but I think that a counter rotational system will give it far superior turning in close quarters...such as dumping wood into the boiler...Inside the shop...Here's the pix

I forgot in the 1st post that It also needs a telecoping boom so I can reach across my truck deck to scoop up pallett wood,, I've got that somewhat figured out (I think) using a hydraulic motor and a 1 1/4 inch Acme rod...I'm just looking for ideas from people with REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE...

Here's a pic for those not faint of heart...BIG ICKEY SPIDER...
The skidder has 2 transmissions and is hydrostaticly driven.. I know that a lot of these parts are way to big to use for the minni but am looking for ideas to help keep the costs down...and what would work the best...The reason I'm not selling the skidder out right is the motor has 35998.9 hours on it...I can't get parts for the carb. and effen mice chewed up the wiring harness...Plus it's EFFEN HUGE 12500 pounds! and takes up my whole drive way

Here is a stand-up version of what you are talking about:

http://www.mini-skid-steer.com/

The GL47 model............
I've seen several small rigs like this for landscaping where the homeowner doesn't want their yard destroyed but heavy lifting still needs to be completed. You might want to Google something along these lines.

Thanks vidio1,
I looked it over... Kinda along the lines of what needs to get built... I'd like to have a telescoping boom so I can reach across the truck to scoop up the mangled pallett wood that I burn mostly I might just buy the plans to see what they can offer in the hydraulic department...The guy is way stoned on the laser cut parts price wise...I'm also looking into a cnc table for my plasma cutter...But thanks for the info I hadn't seen it before

I'm out in the shop trying to figure how to steady my welds and be more comfortable working at my build table...I weld with an arm brace so I can hang on to the gun...and weld from the shoulder...so I needed a stool that rolled and is comfortable for my back to keep it in position for the discs to be happy...Since I don't builld any thing...heres a pic if the stool that somebody else must have built for me...
