Outer was 4.1 according to BDK. A 930 is 108mm, which is 4.25 inches, so it is slightly smaller. They will be plenty strong.

Sweet, sound like a great alternative to the U joint type huh? Are they a plunging type or not, I did not see that in the posts, this seems like the only reason I could not use them for my app. since I am fairly narrow at 75" approx flange to flane in the rear max to get in the trailer with skinny tires and like 102" ish with 13.5" ers in the rear maybe a little narrower if I get a little less offset (more centered) any ideas? (not to hijack..sorry). Thanks!!

No, they will no plunge. You can use a plunging 930 on the inside, but you won't gain much from that. If you run a arms, the plunge will be taken up by the slack in the axles.

Most buggy places are EMPI dealers and can order them for you. New cost is 62.40 EA, the part # is 87-9452-K Comes greased
with boots, clamps and nut.

The hubs I got off EBAY new for 160. for the pair delivered.

Yes the outer diameter is smaller than a 930. They will survive on a supercharged F150 with 4.88's and 37" tires so I think they should be ok for a buggy.

Yes they will get more travel than a regular 930.

If you don't mind can you explain if there is a way to eliminate the plunge on a three link design like the King car uses, as this is what I am planning for simplicity as I don't need to figure out how to build two perfectly matching trailing arms and account for as much front or or rear swing. Maybe its better to post it in my thread if you would rather so I don't continue to hijack this one. Thanks in advance...I am still learning here! LOL.

A 3 link will have some plunge, it depends where you locate the lateral link pivots in relation to the CV joints. *For example the old Drakarts used plunging half shafts with their 3 link setup, but the newer ones changed the link locations to use regular CV joints with solid axle half shafts.

So it can be done, I just need to play with it, right, do these have any play or are they just solid?
