Default Golf cart axles

Anyone know about golf cart axles . My motor finally kerplunkt on my golf kart. Just wondering if anyone knew the HP or torque capabilities of the rear axle. I have a few different motors laying around the house. Its a yamaha golf kart

you sure !?!?!?!?!?! I have a gs500e motor that i am thinking. Just not sure about the rear axle being ok.

no im not sure, but i do know that out west they soup thwm up pretty good. they really arent built very chinsy tho it would probbaly take alot. 8)

i seen one in a mag with about 15" travel under it full cage and in the dunes! was just kidding about the 600 to, i would put a rx1 in it if it were me!

also i bet what you got will work fine, not 100% but what kind of ponies 60 or so, i think it will take it!

LOL i found some guys on a forum like you guys do to your buggies. Got some really really good news. The rear diff shaft is keyed! So now i just have to order a sprocket for the size shaft and run a chain! This should be a fun fun thing to build.
