It's alive! Engine is running now. Wasnt getting fuel so I put a vacuum on the petcock (hey, that sounds dirty) and fuel started flowing. Must have had a stuck float cause fuel went everywhere. I pulled the carbs and dropped the bowls but didnt see a problem. I put them back together and problem had gone away.

I put the carbs back on and tried to start it and it was fluid-locked. Oh shit. So I pulled the plugs and turned it over and shot fuel everywhere out the spark plug hole. I vacuumed the rest of the fuel out and let it sit overnight with the plugs out. Also I drained the oil but it didnt smell too bad so I put it back. Today put the plugs back in, hit the choke and the starter and it fired right up. Revs smoothly and idles fine. Only issue is it's smoking a bit. I'm thinking maybe a stuck ring. I might try some Seafoam or something.

might have washed the cylinders with all that fuel sitting on top, those old carbon buildup rings on the walls at the top of the stroke hide worn walls/rings a lot of times. clean them off and here comes ol smokey.

Its running great now. No smoke. Maybe just some burnoff on pistons. Who knows. Hopefully it doesnt come back.

I wanted to take it for a ride around the neighborhood today but ran out of time because apparently I'm retarded. Got it all ready to roll, started it up, put in gear and it shuts off. Mucked with it for hours. Long story short I just needed to tie the kickstand switch wires together.

Anyway it works fine now so I'll try to take it out tomorrow. Cant get too crazy cause I still dont have chain tensioners. Waiting on some tensioner wheels from China. I mounted the driver's seat and 4 point belt. Had some interference on passenger side belt mounts so I'll need to remake them. Drag.
