So I have been posting a little in the Pilot/Odyssey forum and everyone has been saying to get a build thread going.
I am starting one and giving a heads up as to what to expect.
All the ideas are in my head and I've been gathering parts and supplies to get it started.
Not sure how often I will be able to work on it but when I doo I will post up pics and keep Y'all updated.
For those who have not seen my other post I'll get started with a little info and a parts list and add other things as they come.
I found this bare frame on Craiglist locally with the current frame mods in the pics.
From the beginning I wanted to build it to fit me since I knew I wouldn't fit and install a different motor of some sort.
I got hooked on the idea of a Rotax simply because of the number of conversions that have already been done, the availability and cost of the parts needed and that my best friend is a SeaDoo nut.
After researching and looking at so many pictures of conversions I began buying parts, looking for a motor and picturing how I wanted the frame.
It's very hard to find any Rotax parts locally so I relied heavily on eBay but stumbled across a 670 motor on Craigslist in Dallas for $250.
The guy had it for an ultrlight project that he never finished.
Once I had the motor the race was on to get things to where I am today with enough parts and pieces to get me started.
I also have a complete and running stock FL350 to compare and look at if needed.

This is what I came home with.

On the lift for an up close look

    A little tweaked

This is a pic I found with the front end that was added

I had to get rid of that fast, didn't look good and was super heavy

A close up after cutting it off

    and another

a spot where it was welded to the original frame

    and another attachment point

By the way, on almost every build thread I look at everyone is asking for pics.
    I love pics too !!!
Let me know if it's to much and I'll quit !!!

these are some up close shots of dings and dents that will eventually be cut out and replaced with a solid tube or at least a patch

a shot of the civic radiator and sled gauges
probably not going to use the seat in the pic but it will be used for mock up

look how it fits, like it was made for it

this angle will be better once everything is finished where you can actually see them

a few shots of the factory motor mounts
I don't think they have be modified so I'm hoping to use them with an adapter

it has clearly had a sled engine in it from what everyone on the other frame mod thread has said so only time will tell as to how this will work out

even though I may not be able to work on it a lot and make a lot of progress, mainly due to my work schedule, I have a ton of time to get on here and update and post pics
