How cheap was it?. That will be alot better than anything you could have done to the FL250. I liked my old FL250 but they were not designed for hard driving. Better than a PILOT?, now your going to get all the pilot owners all worked up .LOL |

havent bought it yet. mommy says i got to get the ody out of the garage so she can still park her car in the garage. (im only 13)
any one want a fl250? if you do reply to this thread. but it is cheap. how much would you guys pay for it? and ok pilot owners i was just thinking it has 503cc 2 stoke 2 cylinders a pilot has a 440cc 2 stroke single cylinder in a drag unless this beast is super heavy i think this buggy would win. well the important thing is its a hell of a lot better then a fl250 ![]() |

No way in hades would I suggest that a 13 year old buy that buggy knowing that it will need quite a bit of fab work to correct that horrible rear suspension setup.Unless he's got a mentor that has the necessary skills to help him out it will be nothing but a disappointment to him and could extinguish any desire he has to further his interest in offroading.Best advise is for him to buy a pilot and have FUN!

thanks for the heads up masterfaber.
but a few things. my dad is pretty skilled and can help me through the whole project. hes done lots of work with 4x4s like converting his 2 wheel drive truck into a 4x4 so he had to make custom mounts for the new trans and front axles suspension. i am starting to learn how to weld but i need to purchase a 220 welder or 180 i hear are about as good as a 220. what do you guys think i should do to the rear suspension? i think that the shocks are to stiff because it looks like the suspension is at full drop out. like when a buggy is in the air. |

I gotta admire your ambition and great outlook at this. Two thumbs for sure! I'm not trying to be a spoilsport either but at 13( I was just like you at 13
) I'd like to suggest that you find a way to buy a pilot and then begin modding a little at a time while you also enjoy being able to use it. Rear suspensions are quite simple to look at and they are also deceivingly difficult and pricey to fab.In the long run and short term fun also the pilot is a much better start at offroading. Good luck and happy offroading whatever you decide!
