Default FL350 front shocks

Has anyone ever installed longer shocks on the stock fl350 front end? There is 5" of actual wheel travel. There are also bump and droop stops built in, to prevent the tie rods from hitting the frame. The stock shocks just don't cut it. I was thinking along the line of quad front shocks. Any comments or advice will be appreciated. Thanks, Rob

buy some works, livewire and a few guys sell them. OR do yourself a favor, take a grinder, and a welder, and install youself some quad a-arms in the front. Will make a world of diffrence. 400ex arms work well.

Works shocks don't give you a noticible difference. And I don't want to spend the time right now for a-arms. I am willing to weld a new upper shock mount to accommodate a longer shock. Just wanted to know if anyone has done this, and if so, what shocks did they use.

its not the shock, its the j arm. Its just not ment to give a really smooth ride. It was cheap to build, and fairly heavy duty. I've seen guys do high mounts and fox airs in the rear. But anyone who goes through that trouble in the front, usually gets rid of the a-arm first.

Try it, maybe run some DS650 shocks or something like that, and see how they ride.

Works shocks in the front do give you a noticeable difference, just not as great as the improvement in the rear. The Works shocks give you as much travel in both the front and rear as you can without making other modifications.

This is and old video before I had A-arms where I had Works shocks front and rear: http://www.aftershockmotorsports.com...clean_jump.wmv
