Have been slowly going thru it, gettin it race ready, and already racing it Downunder, doin well and havin the time of my life. It's Neil's ATVR ex Pilot,LT500.Has some small issues to iron out,but is gettin better n better each Meet. Here's some vids of last race meet at Northam Speedway(bout 1hrs drive east of Perth) Cheers Bazz. [url= [url= [url= [url= [url= [url= |

AH!!! *That is one bad-arse Pilot. *I got to drive it out in Glamis a few years back. *Neil and Jay pretty much rebuilt everything from the lower frame rail up.
It's light, has a killer power plant and is a blast!

K fab,I would love to have driven it in US when it had the 185psi and on 110oct!
What state of tune was it in when you drove it? Renegadespec1,thanks for the welcome. Trans costs about AUS$2,000 to AUS East Coast, then I truck it across the Nullabor,3,000mls to the West Coast ,Perth where I live. Big trip hey! All those ships n trucks n things, workin'just to get me my lil ol' Pilot half way round the world, then Downunder ,to satisfy my Racing Drug pleasure! ![]() |

Howdy, Bazz. Well, I sure was wrong. The cr500 engine mod on a Pilot IS enough to run with your competition down there. I'm glad it's working out for you. Thanks for the vids, they're great!

Very cool, Baz!
![]() I think I remember seeing a thread that Splced1 bought a Taz after he sold that Pilot. I wonder if he still has it. Cool vids!

I'm glad you like the vids Dave, I'll get some more up as they come. They are not as" fast n furious" as your lot, but we're workin' on it. Drak,Ed bought himself another LT500 with standard cage as it's easier to get in and out of for him, rather than this mod'd one with closer front bars near steering wheel, and closer straight hip bars.I am only about 5'10 (with beer belly) and it' a fight to get in and out of. When I go back into my std 89 Pilot,it's like a !@#$% limo compared to this one! ![]() |

No clue - it went with us on either my second or third trip to the dunes. (I was still awe-struck with the whole dune thing, so I didn't pay a lot of attention to the finer details of things) *I asked if I could climb in and see what it was like and Neil tossed me the key. *All I know is that it was bad-arse!

Here's another vid of the first time racing at Northam in Sept.
Was a small turnout...4 Buggies!!! I was really enjoying the extra power of this LT500,compared to the std power of my std 89 Pilot. I was grinning big time under the helmet.Understeer and bumpsteer were something I was constantly fighting tho. My mate Ian has the blue Piranha ZX9 130hp.Not sure what the yellow one had...Baz [url= |
