Default Re: BAZZ'S DOWNUNDER RACING PILOT

Hey Baz,

The wheel offset is causing more trouble than anything else. *The Pilots were very sensitive to front wheel offset and the more you put the wheel outside the stock setup, the more it will feed back the front end, fight with you and such. *If you can get back to that 1" outside offset, you'll be impressed.

One other thing is to check the bump steer kit's setup. *The two plates tend to bend on occasion. *Check the bearings in the plates too.

Jay's talking to me right now - he helped build the car. *He and Jay built the car for racing at Glen Hellen.

It had 1/8" of bumpsteer through the entire travel (if adjusted correctly).

Caster should be 4 degrees (makes the car a little twitch, but steers quickly - no push)
Camber -2.5
Toe depended on track. *Anywhere from 1/4 out to 1/4 in depending on what you're wanting the car to do.

He's heading off to work right now, but if you have any specific questions about the car, let me know and I'll pick his brain for you.

The only reason Bazz gets 1st & 2nd is his un sportsmanship conduct he grabs poll poison every time, he cuts off other drivers he abusers officials and chucks the biggest baby spits [smilie=banghead.gif]
He has gotten to a point with the other drivers were he has bring his own friends along so he looks important *

They DON'T know you either Dino!
It is Dino! Isn't it?
Even some of the other racers said it was you, your reply had all the hallmarks of you!
I don't know what's brought on this Badmouthing on me,especially when up till recently this guy has been emailing me for help for his buggy to get sandblasted and powdercoated by one of my mates,CHEAP! at only $150-$200 for both.Only to get it done by someone else for twice the cost!
Also emailing me to go to it's first Buggy Testing at the Pines, which I could'nt due to working on the Pilot, and then emailing me to go to Lancelin Dunes one weekend which I said no to as well! *
Very strange. Dino you have my Phone # and my address,so if you have any probs....you know what to do.
Don't use this thread for your own personal negative CRAP!
To answer your whinges,we were told for grid posi's,first up first served.I normally follow R1 Chris out as he normally goes out there first. Why don't you complain about him?
Secondly,my own rent-a-crowd! What a joke! My friends Trevor & Linda that came, were there on their own accord! I did NOT ask them to come, they TOLD me they were coming! He was also thinking of joining up! I can give you his Mobile # if you want to ring him and ask him yourself! If that would make you feel better.
I get a lot of 2nds from rear grid,eg last meet 2nd race, and also Feb meet before that I got a 1st from rear of reverse grid setup! So maybe you need to do your homework first before you slander someone.
It really shows just who is the real *

Anyway, reason for this thread is to show last Meet's race vids at Northam speedway.
It was the last in the Summer Series.Track was overwatered and greasy and boy did I have Understeer probs. 1st race I could'nt turn on the first bend, then got mud blastered all over my goggles from R1 Chris and could'nt see Jack.Ended up driving round like Mr Mcgoo!
Ended up with 4th,2nd,2nd & a 2nd.

*Race 1
Race 2
* Race 3
Race 4

Hope you enjoy them ..Bazz
