hey nuts,ruthless and everybody that helped
i just got home from the hospital with my girlfriend after a 10 day stay and i have been thinking about my bogging problem the whole time and i was looking on ebay for a carb because we thought that might be my problem but i still havent tried the bigger jet that i bought i tried jetting it smaller with same problem so i was going to jet it fatter and see what that done but while i was on ebay i seen a ground strap that was listed for a 77-84 odyssey 250. my odyssey had a idiot of a owner before me that cut and spliced every freakin wire in the wiring harness so i built a completly new wiring harness from scratch using the factory honda wiring diagram so when i seen the ground strap on ebay i looked at the wiring diagram and it didnt show it so could this be my problem? oh yea by the way im not completly ignorant about wiring or wrenching i have built several show winning hot rods and i know that most of the time if you have a elec problem its usually a ground problem. thanks guys for your input

but hope everything is good :] well the wiring could be your problem! do you have a manual? i downloaded mine ill look for the link...

Boy am I tired I thoguht you had figured it out. Doh!
A good ground strap is important. Yamaha had a hell of a time with its late 80's sleds that was cured by simply adding a good ground strap.

hey ruthless i tried to download it and it said it wasent avaliable i rt clicked it saved target as it started downloading and stopped has anyone seen a small ground wire on thier odyssey going from the frame to the motor the one i seen on ebay was green with a yellow stripe and had a round connector on each end i want to get it in the same place it was from the factory
