FL250 won't stay running
I have an early model fl250. I have rebuilt the engine (main bearings & seals, gaskets, piston and rings). I have also put a kit in the carb. When it starts it will run great for a few minutes then will not idle. If you keep it running it will last for about 30 min. If it dies, it wont start back and you are done for the day. I sure hope someone can tell me what is the most likeky problem. It just sets because I end up towing it back to the shed every time. Thanks!

sounds like its flooding itself, also check your air filter it might be dirty. check your plug and see what it looks like

The next time you get it running pull the fuel line from the pump to the carb off and see if the pump is working. If and when it stops running pull the drain plug off the bottom of the fuel bowl and see if there is any fuel in it.
