does anyone know if you have to split the case to change them? i was just wondering i bought this odyssey that had a broke ring the shop has the jug boring it i should have it back by the end of the week with a new wiseco piston kit and gasket set and new rod bearing i was reading another thread about replacing the block seals or it could ruin a new engine mine had a stock bore so it couldnt have to many hours on it? could it or am i worrying to much i know i need to buy a repair manual but the advice i have been getting on here is spot on! should i just put it together and see what it does? thanks in advance

I have never had one apart. I would think you would have split the case. Should be easy to do, there ins't any trans. Get the manual and take a look. You could ask the shop thats doing the boring. What is the crank like? are the main bearings good?
