Hooking up rear parking brake as main brake
I bought a used Odyssey FL 250 in rough shape. I know it is an early one because it has half the roll cage. The rear brake caliper assembly is missing and I was hoping there was a way to hook the brake lever up to the rear parking brake assembly. I am trying to get this thing running for around the house and the yard without spending a ton of money.
Is this even possible and what might I need? I am assuming if it works all I need is a new brake cable. If not where can I purchase a new brake caliper and does anyone know how much? Thanks for all the help Jim |

I don't know anything about the 250's brakes, but it sounds like a bad idea. Those 250s can run pretty good, and I would think they would need full braking power. My 2 cents.

The park brake isn't really that good of a brake you don't want to trust it to stop you like the main disc brake. You should check eBay you could probably pickup a brake caliper for pretty cheap here's one that will fit any year FL250.
