Default Anyone familiar with 1339cc twin spark honda motor

Is anyone out there familiar with this engine, it is used in the honda Jazz here in europe it is only 8 valves but has 8 spark plugs (more about emissions I think than performance)I will be looking to get more performance out of it soon as well as the usual inlet and exhaust improvements.
Another option could be the 1.5 16 valve vtec engine which is fitted to the honda Fit or Jazz but not available here in europe unless it is fitted to another car? and would it work with my loom etc?

Yes, the additional plugs are for cold-start emissions.
