Question 07 R1 Outerwear ?????

Does anybody know if they make a Outerwear for the 2007 and newer Yamaha R1 motor air cleaner??? Remember it has the new intake set up that you have to keep the stock airbox. I know they make a aftermarket K & N filter.

What are you guys doing to yours? Shurly I can't be the only one with this issue

You could make something like this. I used square alum. tube welded caps and a pipe on one end that fit in a k&n. I hole sawed the holes for the factory rubber bushings for the throttle bodies and tapped it for the air temp gauge.

That's a 07 motor? Do you have any up close pics of it including the back side?

I recently was looking for an outerwear, they were very helpful. The site has a form field to submit a question at Outerwears, Inc. - Original manufacturer of Pre-Filters & Shockwears
Ultimately, I ended up exchanging emails with

Rosemarie A. Dobbs
Customer Service Manager
Outerwears, Inc.

She was very nice to deal with. With some basic dimensions, she was able to locate what I needed even though they had no listing for my application. They also do custom stuff for a nominal fee. She will likely be glad to help you out as well.

Her email “Rosemarie xxx@xxx outerwears.com” (The space and xx is to avoid spam bots – you know how to format it)
