Also, i see no reason that bike couldnt pull 185.. Shit 160-185 is like one less tooth on the rear sprocket.

Bill I have access to a 97 for that price if the deal falls through. It has been down a couple of times, needs tires, and a battery, but other than that it should be a great runner. I've worked with the girl that has it for sale about 10 years now, and she bought it new. Hubby won't let her ride anymore because a friend of theirs got killed on a bike. Not sure on the mileage, but it should be less than 20k. Email if you might be interested.

I will keep that in Mind PH. I know I have seen you post it before but where are you located? It's California if I remember. Shipping might play into it. This one did have the small advantage of being about an hour away.
I do think this one may have the gauge cluster smashed from the wipe out (he claims it was messing around in a parking lot when he durffed it) So finding that would be another thing if I am corrct in it got smashed.

I have been looking for info on this motor and its 120 horse and 74 foot pounds of torque. Its a large twin and I have read that it had tons of midrange torque with a good top end still. But 74 f/p of torque seems on the low side for a 1000cc twin four stroke or ("but I am supposing" is more like it) am I just supposing....

Just being picky I guess. lol Thanx Bill

I raced a TL1000 last year, Good engine but falls flat on its face if you try to rev it (even with massive air box and race exhaust) I still have a spare engine but a bit of a journey to collect LOL, The aprillia RSV may be a better bet with dry sump.
