Default Spark arrestor

I'm looking for a spark arrestor to slip over a 2 1/4" exhaust pipe, do anybody have a clue where I can find one or the requisition to have a "legal" one, I wish to have a green sticker and need this to go to the CHP.

thanks

Super Trapp makes them. *Check the [url=http://mckenzies.com/images/Catalog/McKenzies_07_Catalog_v1.pdf:2x0sq9s8]McKenzie's[/url:2x0sq9s8] web site and find pages 110 & 111 of the catalog.

Right now their site is nothing more than a pdf of the catalog - it's on page 121 of the pdf file

Go to your grocery store and pick up a stainless screen strainer - like you'd use to drain spaghetti. *They make small ones and they're fairly inexpensive.

Snip the mesh out and hose clamp it to the end of the exhaust.

Even better is if you can remove the end cap of the muffler and put the screen inside.

The stainless screen will last a lot longer than anything else, but still, keep an eye on it, as it the stuff gets brittle and easily damaged after a while.

The problem with doing it this way is if anyone's checking for a spark arrestor setup, they usually look for/want the USFS label saying that it's an approved unit.

Buggito.............here in So Cal it will have to have *USFS approved tag on it or stamped into it............I do not think CHP will care if it has a spark arrestor or not......they are looking for stolen items and will need to put an I.D. number on it..........make sure you take ALL your receipts with you so they can see you purchased all the items, and did not steal them.......you will need a green sticker to ride it anywhere in So Cal since the tree huggers have closed most of the open areas..........if you do not have a spark arrestor it can be a fine up to 1300 dollars..........

and by the way your only 10 minutes from where I am............I would like to take a look at your buggy if you don't care.............

I'll PM you later..........
