Default The gsxr 1000 is alive!!!!!!!!11

What a fun night. First off anyone building anything powered by a crotch rocket motor should send your wire harness to mike dicely at www.hyperracing.com. He will completely rebuild your harness and get rid of everything you dont need including controls like dash cluster, key ignition and starting controls. He eliminates all the crap that gives everyone so much trouble tracking down like sidestand switch, neutral switch, antitheft diode, tip over fuel cut out.The new harness is small and easy to understand. He will rebuild yours for $150.00 USD.
I had already bought all the controls that i thought i would need and now i can resell those,I have like 250.00 into the parts i can now resell so this is very cost effective.
Anyway the new harness arrived today,It took me about 10 min to plug everything in and give it a little bump to see if it turns over which it did so i knew the harness was right.Remember i bought this gsxr 1000 motor on ebay nearly 2 years ago from a guy that said it has sat in his garage for over a year so i had no idea if it was even seized,Supposedly it only has 5k on it.
So now i am eager to see if it will fire but i dont have my gas tank or radiator plumbed in yet so a quick squirt of ether (i know and i dont need a lecture from you antietherites, haha) Ok so a little squirt give it a bump and it instantly fires.
Now am i geeked to hear it run so i plumb the tank and rad dump some gas in,fill the radiator and then remmber all i have is 4 independent exhaust pipes about 18" long as a header,Bascially a short 4 into 4 open header,Oh this might hurt!!!
I turn on the fuel pump and hear gas,Thats a good thing to have, Give it a bump and HOLY CRAP IT RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now i am jumping around like a damn fool with excitment.Right away i had to nextel my friends so they could here it,I know what your saying but hey its been along time waiting to hear that sound.
Unfortunally the rorty is still along way from driving but this was a huge step.
Thanks to mike from hyperracing.com for this one.
