Bout to buy Greg555's engine. Any of you have experience with this engine (TL1000)? I know the Yellow ST2, but anyone else??

Do you mean TL1000 and it's cousins the SV1000 and DL1000. A quick web search will provide multiple sites with a lot of info.

I had a tl 1000 motor, wiring harness and radiator. I saw it run but never ran it- sold it. the computer is key coded to the ignition ( thats what I was told ) but I have seen here that that can be by-passed if you don't get the ignition switch and key. The TL is a strong motor, I may try and get it back for my next build. I'm going to see if he still has it, if not I still have the service manual for it, I might be willing to part with it if you think you might want it. Anyway good luck with the motor, your buggy is gonna fly with it.

I know i wanted to run it in my project just found a cbr alot cheaper.. But as far as the bike they are torque as hell and will run. I have a buddy that cracked a weld in the the motor cage on his street bike. but still wont seperate from the bike. Love the sound of the 2 cylinder thump they have though. good luck think your buggy would be bad with it if you buy it

Glock n Ballz, here's a web site you can try www.TLZone.net

I have a TL1000r I haven't placed in buggy yet, so I don't have much info on this motor. Everything I have read up on is good so far, I don't think you'll go wrong on getting this motor; it has alot of low in tork with a 120hp. Check it out for your self, you may have to join the site though.

Good luck with your build!
