Default Re: Where to get motorcycle salvage?

Does anyone have a more general answer for me since I don't live anywhere near California. Like has anyone gone to local insurance company auctions and had any luck? If so, how do you find the auction places?

Should I just call every motorcycle shop nearby and ask if they have cheap wrecked bikes for sale?

My point was that Jerrod may be able to give you some info for your local area....

www.copart.com

25 bucks gives you 1,000 buying power. The more you put into the account the more you can get. Im not sure if a regular person can buy cycles, but i do know you can get snomobiles.

I got a 06 900RMK for 650.

I am not sure. What comes in a car kit? How much do they cost and where can you get them?

A "car kit" comes with the motor and EVERYTHING needed to make it run. It will usually aslo come with a exhaust flange at a minumum (to build your cusom pipes off of or the first part of the exhaust with the tubes (header part).

If you ever buy a "good deal" on a motor and its missing the ECU or some sensors chasing those parts down can be a pain and the "good deal" might not be by the time you add it all up.
