Default 800 cc geo mini buggy, got questions

does any one have any information on the 3 cyl. geo metro powered mini buggy. I just bought one to tinker with and it is surprisingly comfortable and looks arent too bad either. the one I got though seems to be very under powered and the guy I bought it from said the he looked it up on the computer and the geo car makes 85 hp but the specs on the buggy says it only makes about 35 hp I like the reverse so I would like to get some more go out of the engine any ideas?

oh come on seriously, no one has any ideas on these buggies. I would like to know if anyone had any ideas about adapting a motorcycle engine to the transaxle. how would the two clutches work together

85 hp is BS, What kind of buggy did you find with a 3cyl GEO? There is some mods and for about 1k you can get 100, besides that it will be a dog, you just have to live with it...

Got a pic, What buggy is it?

dang bugpac harsh. well as far as the engine I hate to say it but I have to agree with you. One nice thing though I dont know if youre familiar with them but I think the geo metro transaxle may make a nice little fnr box. a litte trial and error may be in order.
oh as far as the name I think it is called an 800 cc hurricane there is some on ebay to get an idea of what they look like.

well Im not looking for something to compete with my gixxer buggy just something to cart around the kids, I was thinking of putting a 1 liter engine in it and taking the transaxle and adapting it to my gixxer buggy so it has reverse and a differential.
so what was so not good about drakarts geo buggies.

My Team-Moto car had a Geo 1000 cc with a CVT and FNR. It was good for the sand but with no gears and always running at peak it sucked for the desert.
Sucked gas too. The Geo may be useful with a tranny behind it.

The Geo 3 banger 998cc is good for around 70hp maybe but that was with a tow barrel carb and open headers.

My Geo motor is on the garage floor bolted to a palet to be dilivered to a guy that wants to replace a blown motor in his Geo car. The CVT system was sold to a member here.

I have an FZ1 hanging on the engine lift and motor mounts in fab right now and a new S&S header mocked up. I have another thread going about the swap but I just jacked up my back, sooooooooo, I will update when I can walk a little better.

does any know if another moter will bolt up to the geo tranny, or could the 1.3 liter bolt up to it.
I like the tranny becuase of how narrow the shafts are together. how do you think a cycle moter would work with it?

the 4 banger might bolt up? Check on the forums that race those little cars, I think they are the same as a Suzuki Swift, witch have some powerful motor combos.
