Default Fuel Cell And Fuel Delivery Question??

Ok here we go i will be building a 2 seat buggy with a 2.0 liter turbo fuel injected Nissan 4cyl, i have had one of these motors in a car i built and my question is the motor will require a 255 lph fuel pump so is there a company that makes specific fuel cells for running a fuel injected engine or can i use a regular fuel cell and run say a 255 lph jegs inline fuel pump and some kind of inline fuel pressure regulator because i will have to have the fuel pressure around 59psi. Also if i remember correctly the engine runs a return style fuel system so the fuel cell will have to have a return line. So what kind of setup would you guys recommend for this setup. Thanks guys.

Ouch, ouch, my eyes... Please turn off the caps when posting, as it's hard to read and is considered yelling.

Fuel cells are just tanks. There should be no special requirement for an injection setup. You may have to work on return line and feeder line sizes, but other than that, any cell should work.

I assume you are using an SR20?

Use this fuel pump.Walbro GSL392 - Walbro High Pressure Inline Fuel Pumps - summitracing.com

Use this regulator. You want a regulator that is going to rise with boost 1:1 so you don't max the duty cycle on your injectors to easily. Aeromotive 13105 - Aeromotive Compact EFI Fuel Regulators - summitracing.com

You want a fuel tank with 3 ports, fuel feed, fuel return and a vent. If you just want a buggy cylindrical style tank you can get one from dans here. You may ask them to add the additional inlets and outlets for you or you can have them welded on by someone else.

Or you can use a fuel cell from someone like Jegs or Summit. Or you can make one or have someone custom make one. That is expensive though so your best sticking to off the shelf fuel tanks.

If you have "Microsloth" word, paste the message into it, then highlight, go to the drop down menu on top that says "format", then click on "change case", then click on the "sentence case" option. Automatically changes it to perfect capitalization.

Yes thank you so very much standfast those were the answers i was looking for, i will be using an sr20det out of a japanese nissan pulsar gtir because its 227hp in stock form and it has a decent intercooler on it stock and its already mounted on top of the engine and with the stock setup it will handle 300hp with a little more boost. i also had another question about an off the shelf round fuel tank like the one you linked to dansperformance.com, do those have any kind of internal baffles to keep the fuel from sloshing all over the place in hard corners or going up and down the dunes?

A tank with foam will reduce slosh. A deep sump will help keep fuel going to the engine.

The round buggy tanks do not have baffles. You could do like the circle track guys do though and fill it up with wiffle balls to get rid of the fuel slosh. You could try to shove some good foam in there as well but the oppening is gonna make that tough to make sure it is in there good. Also, alot of the foam you buy is cheap and will disolve and clog fuel filters, injectors and pumps. Even the good stuff is supposedly only good for a year. Then you have to try and get it back out of that little opening.

Also make sure the foam or whiffle balls are ethanol compatible.
