Missing attachments - storage error

Due to an unfortunate oversight on my part, we have lost 2,678 attachments. vBulletin handles attachments completely different then the old site. Due to my lack of experience with vB and the odd way uploads are handled I inadvertently deleted the storage directory for attachments. To compound the issue backups had been scheduled for nightly only. I had not noticed the error until the next day, by then the nightly backup was useless since it had backed up the empty directory.

Since the 25th I have been working to restore all of the attachments, around 10,000 images, with mixed results. As stated above, most of the attachments have been imported again or restored from a backup I had downloaded.

The end result is some posts are now missing the attachments. It is random, affecting various threads throughout the site. Members will have to re-upload any missing attachments to their threads if they are missing.

Three new directories on the server setup for automated backups. The entire site and database will be backed up as follows:
1. Nightly, overwrite each night.
2. Weekly, overwrite each Sunday
3. Monthly, overwrite each Monthly
Additionally an off site server has been setup to automatically download and store the full backups each night. Moving forward if there is an issue there will be two separate sources of recovery.
