Default Site upgrade - Migration to vBulletin

It's time for a complete upgrade of the site. On Friday, the 30th at 1000 PM Pacific time the site will be down while we upgrade and convert to vB.

vBulletin - Too many features to list, much better user options
vBlogs - To be utilized for project logs
New style and layout
New classifieds section with auction capable ads
New more robust and usable links section

During the conversion to vB there are a few problems. All avatars, sigs and PMs will be lost. It is an inconvenience and I apologize for the loss of data. However, some users have massive amounts of PMs stored in their inbox and sentbox. Converting all of the PMs to vB takes a long time and is a waste of server resources. So please pull any data you need from your inbox before Friday night. Once the PMs are gone they can not be restored.

One last time, make sure to grab any information from your PM inbox that may be stored before Friday.

Sweet. Most other boards use vbulletin and I liked it better. It will be a change, but hopefully it makes the board run better.

uhm....

Because I HATE MICROSLOTH!

I refuse to use their more mainline products other than XP and that stupid Windblows Media Slayer.

Stupid programs.

pardon me... *I get a bit riled up over this subject and I need to step away now. *[smilie=icon_bolt.gif]

*I am a mac guy myself, at least for work and Internet use. *For gaming, PC is still the only way I go (even though PC is losing to consoles). *Mac has still too far to go in that arena.

The upgrade will be delayed one day, really a few hours now. vBulletin has released a new version so I upgraded the site first. Unfortunately after upgrading vB I then had to patch the templates. As it is 2:30 in the morning now I don't wont to start converting the site until tonight.

Sneak peak can be found at www.minibuggy.net/forum
