Default Notice of change to the MBN forum signature policy

After review by the staff it has been decided to add a new signature rule to the forum policy. Many of the MBN members are using dialup connections and excessively large images embedded in each post result in long page load times. Although this is a graphic intensive site, we can all do our part to help those less fortunate non-city dwellers' with screaming cable service.

In two weeks the following guidelines to signature images will be applied. Be aware that the staff has discussed this at length and we believe this is good compromise.

Number of images allowed: Two
Maximum image Size: 150x150
Content: No nudity

All members are given two weeks notice to make sure their signature adheres to the new policy. If a members signature has not been changed at that time, a staff member will remove the image from the members signature. It is up to the member to then resize and replace the image if they wish.

Thank you in advance for your time,

The MBN staff

I don't actually understand the 150x150 pic classification, can you please tell me how big in inches, or at least tell me how big mine are so I can convert it to inches. And i'm assuming I can have one pic instead of 2 that is 150x300, correct?....

Yoshi,
* *That would be pixels.... the way a digital image is sized......take and put your mouse over your sig picture and "right click"....the bottom option should be properties.....click on that....in Firefox you will have a list of Width and Height and in microsloth it will show "image size". Your current sig images are 219x216 for the name image and 400x211 for the picture of your car....WAY TO BIG!! *You can take and use paint to make them smaller...under "image" look at "attributes" ...that will give you the current size...then go to "stretch/skew" and change the % of H & W by the same amount...say 50% and then recheck the attributes *to see what size it has become...keep doing that until you get the size you need......get it so the one side is below 150 and you are set!

I'm glad I finally put a signature in this morning.
I just changed it t 200 x 63 less bytes than 150 x 150. Hardly worth having a picture that size.

Let me know if it's cool.

Just to nit pick, but 150 X 150 is 22,500 pixels, so two pictures of that size would be 45,000 pixels. *That would lead one to believe that you could have one picture of 45,000 pixels or less and meet the intent of the pixel limit. *

Hmmm, I wonder if transfering 45,000 pixels in one image would actually be faster than two 22,500 pixel images.....

ok,..I think we should start building buggies according to the new sig rules of minibuggy.net. Who builds the least hp, smallest buggy on the market, i'm thinking one of the import, 50cc karts should do, from now on, no one can build anything bigger than 50cc, we should conform to the weaker link.... if we did that same scenario on vehicle sales, we still would be conforming to the same standard....
