Talking After many years, the day has come

Im taking my drive test on Friday here in WA. Yeah.. im young, and before i drove my motorcycle (yea illegally) and my mountain bike. But this friday im taking my actual test!

Anyone have any pointers on what they look for when on the test? And things not to do?

Ironically ive been driving for 4 years and haver never been in a accident, pulled over or anything related.

Here in the uk the examiner walks around the block (this was 20 odd years ago) whilst you ride around a pre planned route, I thought the examiner was the other end of the block so I decided to pull a wheelie (quite an achievement on an 80cc road bike) just as the front wheel toutched down he walked around the corner, A split second earlier and he would have banned me for life as it was I passed.
You have 4 years of bad habits to get out of your system, I would re read the highway code to see how it should be done, LOL

Is it the "car" driving test, or motorcycle? I grilled my son years ago before he took his car test and he "ace'd it". They're going to be watching for "stopping at the edge of the side walk" before proceeding onto the roadway as soon as your leaving the DMV. That's one, and look both ways, with your signal on of which direction your going.

Signal "on" and check both mirrors before changing lanes. No rolling stops anywhere.

If it's the Oregon style M/C test,, prepare to get humbled,,

Yah, complete stops, and make sure they are not in the ped xing, that will lose you a point for sure.

It's kind of ironic that you have to drive according to the law but as soon as you get your license it will never again matter if you run stop signs, pull into the wrong lane when entering multilane roadways, drive the wrong way on 1 way streets or run down pedestrians in crosswalks since law enforcement couldn't care less. All they care about is speeding tickets since they are a slam dunk in court.

I've come to the conclusion that everybody driving now learned how to drive at tractor-trailer school. How else do you explain the people in the civic's and other little cars always swinging halfway into the right lane to turn left??
