Dune buggy? or mini sand rail

Quicker in a straight line? *Not necessarly, watch some of the Tom Pro videos on his site racing that big green V8 that is so fast the front wheels are hardly ever on the ground....

Well Ive got both, a Manx style buggy and a Belmore mini rail and to be honest Id much rather be out in the mini rail,the buggy I like driving on the street,of course I did build it just for the street knowing it wouldnt be half as fun as the rail.Sorry but the pic of the buggy isnt the best,its now pimped out with white walls and a vintage surfboard mounted on the top

I always understood a mini buggy to be one that's not powered by a car engine. In other words, any motorcycle, Odyssey, quad, snowmobile, jet-ski etc. - just about any toy if you think about it.

So by this logic any mini that runs a MC-sized CAR engine (like a Geo) would kick it up to the full-size class? *There's a lot of engine choices out there, with much cross-over. *Certainly whether a given engine was originally a chain drive shouldn't be the determining factor.
IMO they should be classed by weight.
