Default ATV for parts

Hi all,
This is my first post. My name is Eric, I live in Phoenix Arizona. I am looking into building an all purpose buggy. My idea is to build a frame from a kit then use a purchased ATV such as a Honda EX 400 quad for a majority of the parts ie front suspension, brakes, power etc... What is the feesability of this? It would be a one person buggy and made with lightness in mind. Can the ATV suspension be adapted to a buggy? I have also toyed with the idea of using the swingarm arangement for the rear suspension. I would add some sort of trailing arm to the rear hubs for strength. Would the buggy be too heavy for the stock ATV swing arm? I like this plan for its low cost and the tremendous aftermarket parts for ATV's. I could upgrade as needed. Any thoughts?
Thanks
E

that sounds like fun actually. Despite all the "I really wouldn't do that if I were you"s in that idea, it would be fun. As for the swingarm idea, I modified a Manco gokart by fusing it with a 185cc ATC honda and the swingarm, and it is very fun, however very long indeed. I build mini-rails, so if you want a chassis you can look at mine. We can suit it to your needs so you can run ATV running gear.
