Yup - must be an iPad thing.

If I click on the attached pic in the post a couple up, it takes me to a page with the picture, which shows that it's obviously being stored here on MBN's server.

I copied the URL address, came here, did an insert image, pasted the link and tada, we have a picture.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the pix in the attachments to just show up.

I'll be contacting a vB guru here shortly.

I got some more info from the other forum admin that I'll try to implement. Being that I'm a Mac user (and avoid Windblows as much as possible), I have problems seeing if things did or didn't work when it comes to the three mentioned "fixes".

Guess I need to go get my shop computer and futz about on it - since it runs Windblows and Netscape.

If you are using Chrome, get Ghostery and Ad blocker plus. If will make all those ad's on PB go away. IT's the only way I could get it to work before the big screw.

    Edit: Netscape...... Snicker.......

Didn't we lose a bunch of photos that were hosted by this site when we went through a site upgrade? There doesn't seem to be an easy answer to this.

Someone posted this on the garage journal,

"If you're using Google Chrome, go to the three dots on the right side of the screen and click them. A drop down should appear. Hover your mouse over "More Tools," and when the next drop down appears, click on extensions. Go to the link towards the bottom that says "Get more extensions." In the search box, type "Photobucket Fix," and hit enter. Click the install button and once it's done, you should be able to see photobucket pictures again.

For FireFox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add ons. Click search for "photobucket hotlink" and click install. Same result. "

I don't know if this is the fix BDK is talking about or a different one.

First few replies said it worked and all pictures were back.

OK a friend of mine showed me how with Windows and google chrome. The images have to be downsized, I used paint and downsizes to 25%. After you post with the attached image , above post where it says test2 jpg as an example you would click on that , the picture opens up in a new window , copy the complete www address then go back to your post and click edit , click on the insert image from the upper right tool bar a box opens up click on the from url tab and paste the www address in the url box the un check the Retrieve remote file and reference locally box click ok and thats it

    Me thinks
Wish there was a way to make an attachment show as thumbnail, it would save a step and make for a little faster browsing when on a slow connection.
My friend showed me how to make the PB pictures work by using the actual www of the picture rather than the url but didn't recommend doing it because it would be just a matter of time till PB figured it out and shut it down
