Default Lockheed During WwII

During World War II the Army Corps of Engineers needed to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant to protect it from Japanese air attack.

They covered it with camouflage netting to make it look like a rural subdivision from the air.

Love that story.

If you find that intersting, Skunkworks is a must read. Covers from the U2 thru the Stealth.

I agree I think the united states has turned into a bunch of sissys, people dont know the meaning of sacrifice. People from the ww2 generation knew all to much what that meant.

Awsome Yoshi. Thats cool as hell. For the record I feel all the men and women in our armed forces are great. The sissies are all those that support our wars, yet dont send their kids. It's nice to support a war for every one elses kids. In fact I'll go so far as to say if you have a child thats 17 or older. You support the wars. And yet you have'nt sat your child down to try and talk them into serving. You and your kids a sissy

The enterance looks just like the bunker located in Debert about around 20 miles from where I Live Called Defenbunkers here in Canada they were built government and High ranking officals . Historical group has taken it over and now offers tours I was down in it it would hold around 125 people plus opperrational personal in case the big one was ever dropped Pretty cool.
