Default Short Sand Cars

I have just purchased a short sand car that was a kit car with a hayabusa 1300 turbo. Have ridden Banshees and VW buggies at Glamis in the past and this buggy is my first bike motor. Heard plenty of good things out there about them but if anyone has some tips or advice, I would love to hear. Rick

Welcome to the site.

Advice - Don't try to over drive it or drive over your head. That car will accelerate like nothing you've probably been in before. Take your time getting used to it.

Sounds like you've been in the dunes, so you're a leg up on a lot of new car owners.

Wear your seat belts - tight to the point of almost hurting when you leave the pits.
Wear a helmet.

Most of all, ENJOY IT!

Man, you guys all get to start playing in the sand and I'm stuck here watching winter creep in. I am JEALOUS!!! I love Glamis!

Welcome to MBN and congratulations on your purhase.

Take time to become familiar with the car and drive with some common sense and things should go well.

As you learn more about the way the car handles you may have a few questions about making your ride better or more reliable. We are here to help you!

Thanks for the advice. I've heard the term "scary fast" used with these cars and I hope that true, experience tells me its far better to have more power then not enough.
