Default fl350 title/registration woes

FIRST if you dont want to read all of that.. then riddle me this. where is the vin #, serial, what have you located on an fl350?

Maybe someone can help me here. i live in WI. i bought a fl350 a year ago from a guy i know for cheap minus the motor and title. he never had the title to start with. i tracked down the previous owner and it was some kid i went to school with back in the days of yore. i hate to judge people (sometimes) but this guy and his family dont appear to be the best of people. his dad was the "owner" of the oddy and no one can get a hold of him or they wont even try to for me. SO. IF i can get a bill of sale then i could try to get the title. or... does this thing have vin #'s or serial numbers or what? only numbers i've seen are on the tranny. so... help?

Tear it apart, buy an engine, install a spool and call it home made special construction. Who's to know?

There is some #'s on the back of the frame, I highlighted were they are in the pic.
Gene has the right idea, make it look custom made , Nobody at licencing will know what it realy is, I'm sure they don't have FL350's coming in every day

In michigan, just get a bill of sale from who you bought it from, dunno about wis, but i would guess it would be similar, take it to sos and tell them youd like to get a title, some states didnt even issue titles for orvs back then...

I know a lot of states REQUIRE a title. The BS part is its just another way for the state to fleece you of money when the unit changes hands.

I do not think a vehicle should have or need a title unless its able to be street legal from the get go.
