Save your money - Do not waste your time going to "The Happening"

Hands down this was the worse movie I've ever paid for to see in a theater. It ties with Peace Maker and Fair Game as the worse modern movies I've ever seen.

Happening was:
A) Amazingly boring.
2) Another Eco-Nazi propaganda film.
III) Horribly acted. The acting was very robotic and non-emotional. Usually Wahlburg is a dynamic actor, but here? My God, it was like they purposely read the script in monotone, robot mode.

The first death shown in the movie was a chick taking out the steel pick from the bun in her hair and stabbing it into her neck. I wish I could have used the pick to stab out my eyes so I wouldn't have had to watch the 80 minutes that followed.

I'm not sure which is worse: the POS movie Happening or being forced to watch American Idol or listen to cRap music (which is NOT music). Hell, I like Flash web sites better!

The plot is extremely thin, it doesn't build on anything, just sort of follows along a basic theme that's not really very well expressed.

I wish I could say something nice about this piece of crap, but I can't. Heck, even the lead female roll was annoying. If she had some sort of personality, I'd have found her half way attractive, but the character she played was dull and non-engaging.

M. Night Shyamalan started out with some kick arse movies..... my favorite..."The Sixth Sense".....I see dead people.... That was truly a edge of your seat movie......it even made Bruce Willis look good! But his latest stuff has just planed sucked!

What I hate is the movie price is tolerable but BARELY but then if you want a drink and a popcorn you gotta shell out $11.00 and thats for the medium size soda and popcorn and its only free refills on certain days.

The worst part now is if you go in early enough to get a good seat they are now showing a boat-load of commercials (like you see at home on your tv) before and during the previews (especially before) Rediculous. Bill

At least that price includes the drink and popcorn. Here in LA that is just the price of the movie. I really have a hard time with Comifornia sometimes.
