I got it in an email from my aunt in Cali. She is still pretty active politically down there primarily with their local stuff. *But either way I found it interesting and thought I would share it with you. *

On another note... as a soldier and already having served in Iraq and looking at another rotation next year and my little brother is getting ready to head over, I find the War in Iraq or hunting terrorists where ever they may hide less of a threat to my personal way of life and well being than immigration issues. *I am originally a California native and transplanted to Idaho after my ex-wife’s family did back in 2000. *I have seen the influence and effect that immigration has on my personal welfare and life style. *And I don’t like it but not sure how to go about stopping it. *Other than volunteering to be sent on border security missions with the Army like I did last year. *

But strangely enough as a soldier all I can do is call the border patrol and sit and watch them cross. *If I were still in a combat zone and some one tried to cross the perimeter I could shoot to kill on sight no questions asked. *My questions are how is that any different than border security. *

Terrorist are less of a threat to our national security than the undermining of our economy being done by illegal immigration. *And being butt raped by oil companies... the oil companies are bordering on terrorist extortion. *They claim the reason for rising fuel prices is demand, cost of crude and production. *But we have 20 year record oil surpluses in the US, *The higher the price get the less the demand is, barrels of oil keep hitting record highs, *but oil companies keep posting record profits quarter after quarter. *Something fishie is going on. *At this point I don’t care who we have to bomb or go to war with it just needs to happen to get fuel prices down.

I have three solutions for fuel prices, one regulate fuel prices because of the monopoly situation OPEC has much like the PUC public Utilities Commission. *Two start bombing the true terrorist... the illegal aliens and the oil companies. And third start trading oil for defense service to Iraq. Trade the oil dollar for dollar on the fair market value of crude oil.

The one candidate I would like to hear more from is Ron Paul... I don’t know where he stands on the environmental issues that pertain to our hobbies.

I want to extend a huge amount of gratitude to you for your service of this country and your dedication to it.

The Military is our backbone and saving grace in so many ways and it's sad that most people don't see this. *Instead they take a political polarization point of view of the issues.

While there has been some fun poked at this thread, it is a serious issue and hopefully the people on this board do give it consideration.

Once again, thanks for your service, as each and every person on this board (within the United States and it's territories) is indebted to you whether they realize it or not. *

I heard a snippet on the news the other day that Minnesota Guv-na "Jesse (The Body) Ventura" is quite ticked off about all the crap going on in this country and was thinking of running as a neutral Presidental canidate. I can only wonder (and perhaps hope??) he is serious.

I also heard that John Mccain was not allowed to be pres as he is not a natural born citizen? Dunno if this is true. Does anyone have more on that? Bill
