Would that cause a high idle though? I saw that on those dodge forums, but that was related to stumbling, or no power after so many rpm.

Im with you on this one....sounds like a lift pump.

Youll need to hook up a pressure gauge in the low pressure side of the fuel system to check it out.

Dead pedal is usually the APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor) going out. *A new one from Dodge is about $400-$500! *

The guys on Turbo Diesel Register have built a replacement kit for about $150.

Nice find. Looks liek you can find them in the 150 area for pretty much a direct replacement.

You don't need a scanner for codes. *Just turn key on-off-on-off-on (don't start it!) and read the codes-if any-in the odometer display.

DTR is another GREAT forum. *It doesn't require paid membership to post--just like this GREAT place! *

As prev stated its most likely the apps.


I see more ford and dodge diesels in my shop than anny other.... mostly fords *[smilie=big_explode.gif]


not vary many dmaxes unless they are getting efi live'd
