Interesting video. it makes me wonder how this would be reported if the other guy won. His history of supporting gun bans in the past leads me to believe the same chit would be going down.

In July 2004, then-Governor Romney signed legislation into law that made Massachusetts' assault weapons ban permanent and not reliant on a federal ban that expired at the end of 2004. The state issued a press release at the time, in which Romney described assault weapons as "instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people"

His stance was whitewashed in recent weeks as there was an intense effort to do so.

The reality of his view is apparent in his statement at the bottom of this clip-

GOAL fired back with its own press release titled, "Firearm Reform Bill Signed, Romney Takes Opportunity to Betray Gun Owners." The organization was especially irked that, "When asked by a reporter if he supported the renewal of the federal 'assault weapons' ban and if he had spoken to the senators about it, Governor Romney replied that it was not really his job to lobby on federal legislation, but that he shared Senator Kerry's and Senator Kennedy's position on the issue!"

The bottom line for me is that I believe it to be in the gov's best interest to rule over an unarmed populace. Regardless of party affiliations. Neither side is gonna get mine without a fight.

THey're going to have an extremely hard time shutting the AR gate... Since the Brady bill ended there is a huge market that has developed and popular shows on TV supporting A.R.s.
Never under estimate the power of TV and public opinion. If A.R.s get more and more popular, it will make the ban harder and harder to get thru. Keep in mind they're all elected officials and right now the winners all think they're invincible...but as it churns closer and closer to next election nobody wants to lose and public opinion matters.

Like these bans do anything to the criminal element besides give them more illegal items to sell.
America is just too broad to totally ban firearms, still lots of this country you DO need to defend your self from wild life . Where we're at the sheriff won't come unless somebody has/is going to die. And then response time is so slow its not going to save you.

Ok. Well what law would have prevented jarrod laugfner from buying a gun in the Tucson shooting 2 years ago.

Nothing! He was a legal citizen to buy a weapon.
And for gun bans and rights. Well some one needs to be a dick and not agree on who should have them.
And this is just another ploy to razz people.

After the Tucson shooting people went out and bought high capacity gun clips because how many bullets jarrod shot. Did they get banned. no..... NOT YET

The sad thing about this topic is everyone should (meaning both sides of the issue) be upset....it is our right accourding to our constitution to bear arms! In other words...once again the gov is trying to tell us what we need! Every right they take away is on more step towards reducing our freedom!

besides...look at things the gov has made ilegal... Drugs, prostitution, and so on...

I better stop now....need to go count my guns and load up on ammo....oh and get my yard sign "You sure you want to? Have guns...love to use them!"

There is only one Considerable answer for ending the effectiveness of these public shootings and it goes back to the old days.

Example, Colorado movie shooting. Dude busts open exit door and shoots gas into crowd. Unarmed crowd equaled 12 people dead.

Now you tell me this if there were lets say 18 to 30 people in that theater Exercising there constitutional right to bare arms what would have happened. As soon as he identified himself as a threat he would have been gunned down by multiple people.

You owe it to your country and your community to exercise your right to carry a personal defense weapon. Taking our guns away only makes this scenario much worse and if you think for one second that it can't or won't happen, Your grossly mistaken. ( WE ARE THE GOVERNMENTS LAST THREAT ) They don't care about the popular opinion on any matters any more.

Obama openly announced in the debates that he is coming for your handguns and assault weapons. I have had a feeling this would happen years ago.
