40mm=1 9/16"= 1.575" 30mm=1 3/16"= 1.18" 20mm=11/16"=.787" 2.3mm=3/32+"=.09" 2mm=3/32-"=.079" 1.6mm=1/16"=.063" These are close, I used my digital caliper. Tim

A mil is .03937 or .040 when guestimating. Just in case the need comes up again. So 40mm x .03937 = 1.5748 inches. Here's a link to a printable decimal to fraction chart:

The conversion is millimeters divided by 25.4 equals inches.

So 40mm / 25,4 = 1.575 inches.

Or get this unit conversion program for all your converting needs.

The thickness. I don't know exactly what the limits of each are, but let's say Flats are usually thick, like 1/2" or more, plate is maybe 1/8" to 1/2" thick, and sheet is 0 - 1/8". It doesn't matter what it is called, as long as the size is what you need.

I'm fine playing w/mm and volume but WTF are Celsius and Pascal? Those make absolutely NO sense... Someone says it's 35 degrees and it's hot?
