Default Snow fences suck

This goes back to my college mini baja days.

The track we were racing on was a motocross track north of Milwaukee, I can't remember the name of it. In certain areas of the track they had snow fences to block off unused areas. We had a mediocre car that wasn't as fast as most of the cars our there.

One of the turns was wide 90 degree left hander. Anyway, I came into the turn three wide with two faster cars. I had the inside line and thought I'd beat them too the turn. They started to crowd, so I pushed back. Unfortunately I couldn't move both cars, and got pushed into the snow fence. The front end was light enough the car rode up onto the fence until the fence fell over. So I'm hanging in the fence almost on my side, engine running, smoke pouring off the exhaust. It took three track officials to get me out of the fence. Once I got out, I fired the engine and finished the heat. The video was pretty embarrasing. With all the smoke, it seemed like the car should've been in flames . . .
