This is a really impressive video. That thing really soaks up the big rollers in the in field.

I was there.
![]() No really I was. The in field is way cool to watch. I went out and pit/supported for our friends in the DAMZL 132 car. Very cool to watch and see how all the vehicles do in the in field section. Lots of jumps and big berms to watch them all run through. Very cool and that truck does do great. Nice thanks for sharing. ![]()

It sure does soak up the rollers in the infield, but unfortunately it didn't soak up the dead 7 truck as well
and then soaked up the McMillan truck in the rear end. . It sure sounded like a good battle up until that point between the two trucks. Opened the door for others though. Nice race for the #2. Had the win in his site. |

Don't make Me get out the soap box. GPS needs to come out of the faster class's before somebody gets killed. This is one area where Dakar has it right.
I'm surprised with how well Pete did. For someone with limited money, poor prep and is as hard on equipment as he is, it was really surprising. |

He's been bitten by poor engine building (cutting cost corners), bad third member rebuilds (cutting cost corners) and such. When the Racing Gods decide to smile on Pete, he does very well. He has the talent and the spirit and the drive to win, he just gets bitten by being tight in the wallet where he can't afford to be. I'm not knocking on the guy at all - I like Pete and have enjoyed the races I've done with him. He's so close to being a constant threat to the top 5 in TT it's sad that he can't get that little extra sponsorship he needs to make the step up to the next level. He micro-manages every aspect of his team - if he'd let the guys do their work w/o him standing over them at every step, he'd get loads more done and his prep work would go up in quality big time. - that was one frustrating thing about working with him - he won't let you do a job that he's asked you to do.
