I am getting my frame coated at the momement. I was charged $225 for the blasting, and another $250 for the coating. It will be done in silver vein.
Keep in mind this is for the frame only. I have my a-arms, trailing arms, panels, tie rods and small misc peices being done as well, which I haven't got a price on yet. Is this about right? I think the blasting is what is over priced.

for new steel id says its a bit high, for painted steel i wouldn't frown at 250.00 myself, its a lot of work blasting welds and stuff to make sure all the impurities are removed...Of course i would expect to pay about 200 to have a raw chassis blasted, so its not to far out of line, did the powder guy blast it or send it out, hes probably adding on some for vending it as well...

Seems like it would have been cheaper to powder everything at once tho, and blast it, I got a quote local to blast everything for 150. and 250 to powder everything...And mine has color on it already...

Yeah was thinking i might be getting the shaft. I went through some guys that i know in town because i thought they would do better work. But at some point the price will out weigh the work quality. Through my work I was going to have everything coated for $250. but It would have been a little less quality.

This guy of mine did a 8/10 job on my prowler parts, but i dont believe he is the best, there is a guy up in gr that charges about 500.00 for the car no sand, but the quality is probably 15/10 top notch guy...

the quality will be 15/10 but at what point is it really worth it. Well Mine is street legal, so it will be shown. maybe I have a case of bitch fever or something I just don't know. My wife is going to die when she finds out.

I had my 954 Piranha done up in gr by Magnum Powdercoat. It was top notch, I think I did pay just under 500 for the frame in Candy red. 1st coat silver, then the color, then clear. The a arms and other misc. parts were 80 total in mirror black. sandblasting the frame was 100.
I would definitely go back there again. He does a ton of rails, and I really didn't think the price was too high.
