Hello MBN guru's, new member here and I'm looking for information on a specific buggy/frame. I know it has been discussed here years ago but there isn't much info here or anywhere else on the web that I have found and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.
I am looking for a HotBuggy, a HotBuggy frame/chassis or any information on where I might find one. I currently roadrace with the SCCA(Sports Car Club of America) and was looking for something to run on the gravel/asphalt with some small jumps. Mainly an asphalt kart and this particular chassis is the closest thing that I have ever found. Basically a short travel, single seat, motorcycle powered, chain drive kart with an emphasis on handling instead of suspension travel. Here are a few pix of the chassis and a link to a dead website. http://www.hotbuggy.eu/ and go to the gallery for some pix. ![]() Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. Also, do you think that any of the current chassis' out there, Drakart or the likes can be modified for asphalt use? Thank-You for looking and eagerly awaiting your responses, * Dan Last edited by w650gb500; 03-02-2009 at 12:46 PM. |

Yes it is, that what he is looking for. I know rage makes on road karts, and there was that cross kart post a while back. If you want to make it onraod specific, building it from the ground up would be the best, but it would take a lot more time. Anythign can be converted as long as it has adjustable suspension.

I'm bringing this topic back up so maybe a few more people will read it and lend some light on the subject.
I could always build a frame from scratch, but if there is something out there that can be modified, I would rather look at that option first. If I were to build something from scratch, I already have a Suzuki TL1000R motor(car kit), a chain drive rear spool set-up, Yamaha Raptor front uprights/hubs/brakes/calipers and Douglas wheels with Duro tires. If I decide to build, does anyone have a suggestion as which current frame to copy? Thanks, Dan Welcome to Racelabz, Your S2000 racing source - home of the fastest T3 S2000 Racecars |
