Brand new busa motors? Only way to get a brand new busa motor is to buy a brand new zero mile busa at the dealership and take out the motor as you can't buy a new one from the dealership. I wouldn't want a new one anyway, you have to stay below a certain RPM for the break in period which isn't possible with paddle tires. I use 1500 to 5k mile powerplants as they are already broke in.

Yes New, You are correct. My engine builder was the lead engineer at JD Power and Ass. in the race engine department for 32 years before retireing. His engines sold for 155K and was built, tested, in a box ready to ship any where in the world in 72 hours from time deposit was recieved or it was free. Never had to eat one. Designed and built Indy cars with just about every team out there. Masters degree. Built the two 750 horse Busa (Each) that took the world record in a motorcycle at Bontaville. Engine designer for HD. We will be switching to new Yamaha's soon. Together we offer Trophy truck and Indy car engineering in one box.

Thank you for your reply. You make a very nice car.

Thanks for the compliment. Are you breaking in the motors before you let the rails go? In my opinion your gonna have alot of people messing up their motors because they don't break it in properly. Sand is different than any other surface. You can even break one in semi decent in the dirt but the sand requires alot of high rpm spots which can really hurt a new motor. They don't have the torque of the car motors which is why the bigger motors can be broke in properly below a certain rpm. Just my .02 and i'm not trying to be negative.....

Yoshi & TaylorMadeFab..............

I love the STEALTH look of Yoshi's and all the R & D he has put into them....I can't wait to see TaylorMadeFab's pictures of his buggies....I will point out that you two are playing with the big boys...($$) price wise....I am only speaking for myself, but we all wish we could afford one of Yoshi's or????? buggies....but money is the big hold up....I know I can't swing a $20k buggy, GOD knows I wish I could....but the reality is we will have to make due with what we can get our hands on and make ourselves....

and I would like to thank Yoshi.....he has helped me and others out on our builds........

I hope this does not offend anyone.........

Don't see how that could offend anyone. I have no problem helping people out and giving them all my secrets cause I will still pay my bills.
It doesn't matter if I gave someone all the plans, my prices, and discounts to build a rail themselves, alot of people just want the car. They can afford it and don't care about being a part of the build. It is just a purchase, like a car or a house, some people just want to buy it and they don't care what the cost is. These people will keep me in business no matter how much I help do-it-yourselfers out so I would rather be open and nice to the do-it-yourselfers so I can make as many friends as possible. The people I befriend in other places that invite me to their home for weekends are worth more than any money I could make trying to sell them a complete rail and treating them as only a customer. The people here, along with a few other forums, are my friends and have a passion for the same thing I do. It's not about the money, it's about the sport. Even though it's my business, I don't work, I love it so I don't see it as work. The money allows me to continue to build and improve the sport as I have ideas and improvements that will freak you guys out someday. My rails don't even scratch the surface of what's in my head, it's what I could afford to build right now.....

Yoshi.......I hope you don't think I was talking down your business or you....I heve learned soooo much from you and your builds....I know it is your business and your passion....I only wanted to make the point that alot of the members here have to build their own because we can't just go buy one....your a stand up guy with the way you help everyone out, I hope one day we can meet and you can laugh at our buggies......just kidding.....I would love to be able own one of your buggies, but for now, I will have to finish ours and enjoy what we have....and again,,,,thanks for all your help........like I said before...I hope you make millions..........Jeff
